Your Financial Support is Vitally Important

The Mt. Morris Board of Directors asks for your support as we look toward the construction of our new Multi Purpose Facility. Your one time gift or pledge will allow Mt. Morris to continue to provide excellent hospitality to hundreds of camps, retreats, conferences, and celebrations for years to come.

OUR PROPOSAL

The Western District of the Moravian Church purchased what would become the Mt. Morris Camp & Retreat Center in 1964. The Sandhill Center was built as the first programming space with complete kitchen facilities and meeting areas in 1972. In 2000 major renovations to the camp included the construction of seven cabins, Black Oak Lodge, and The Arrowhead Center which serves as the primary program and dining space. The Mt. Morris Board of Directors, affirmed by the 2016 Western District Synod, has approved a new campaign to add a new Multi Purpose Facility which will create year-round recreation, meeting, conference, and program space.

WHAT'S THE NEED?

When there are multiple groups using Mt. Morris at the same time there is not sufficient program and meeting areas, this new building will allow us more options and space for current groups and new groups that could rent the cabins and have a place to meet.

Our summer camps will now have a place for programming and activities apart from the dining room, particularly on rainy days.

The new building will also give us the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our local community as we will allow local groups, clubs, sports teams, and others access to the facility.
